Overhead Carry & Front Rack

Created by Gavin Howard, last modified on Apr 14, 2021

Overhead carry weight limit is 150kg.

Overhead carry loads are restricted by weight to 150kg by road law.

The distance between front and rear racks ensures hirers can carry up to six metre lengths.

The middle and rear rack can hold the full 150kg.
If under six metres, the load must be carried on the tray between the middle and the rear rack.

The front rack has a 50kg weight limit.

Any overhang must have an orange, or a red, depending on your state or country, safety flag at the end of the load.

Overloading and/or incorrect securing of an overhead load will cause damage to the rack, the bull bar, the roof, and the bonnet, as well as damage to, or loss of, the load. Such damage will cause the damage excess and the single vehicle damage excess to be charged to the hirer.
