UTE Etag

If the unit is located in or near an area with toll roads, the ute will have an etag installed.

[00:11:32] The etag must be checked every single time the vehicle comes back from hire. If the etag is missing a charge of $175 applies for the customer to pay. If the etag is missing, the customer must be charged $175 for the etag replacement AND we need to be notified ASAP to avoid fraudulent toll charges being added to the account. Checking for the etag and reporting missing etags is the responsibility of each team member. All hires that drive on toll roads must purchase a toll pass through Handy Rentals at the commencement of hire. Otherwise, tolls are charged to the hirers' credit card. plus the $30 admin fee.

[00:12:19] The installation of an etag does not automatically cover the hirer for tolls if they have not paid for the toll pass through Handy Rentals AND is marked in hirer system as paid. The etag is not deactivated if a toll pass has not been purchased.
