Daily Checks

Created by Gavin Howard, last modified on Apr 14, 2021

Vehicles are to be displayed in a prominent position in your car park whilst the store is open and then secured in the yard or inside the store when the store is closed. Most stores will need to drive the ute out in the morning and in before close. Take the time to do your daily checks either in the morning or in the evening, whichever suits the store better. Ask another team member to confirm, correct operation of the headlights, the park lights, the brake lights, the indicators, and the reverse lights check dash lights and interior lights are also working.

Check the tyres are in good condition and are not looking flat or bald. Take a damp cloth and give the dash and seats a quick wipe over. Sweep any sand from the floor to keep it tidy. Top-up the windscreen wiper fluid and confirm existing damage, report new damage or any issues with the vehicle to Handy Rentals via email. Written notification of damage is preferred with photos.
